What are you teaching the universe?

Every moment of every day, we’re interacting with the world around us—whether consciously or unconsciously. We make decisions, we take actions, we think thoughts, and we speak words. But have you ever stopped to ask yourself: What message are you sending? What are you teaching the universe about who you are and what you believe?
We often think of ourselves as passive participants in the world, as if things are happening to us. But what if we’ve been taught to view things the wrong way? What if, in fact, the universe is responding to us, mirroring our beliefs and behaviors back to us in ways that shape our reality?
Everything you do, every belief you hold, and every word you speak is a form of communication with the universe. The universe is not some distant, indifferent entity. It is alive, active, and deeply attuned to your energy. Just like the people around you, it responds to the signals you send out. If you’re constantly acting from a place of fear, doubt, or limitation, the universe will reflect that back to you. But if you choose to act from a place of clarity, possibility, and openness, you’ll find that the universe begins to respond with opportunities, support, and alignment.
Think of it this way: You are a teacher, and the universe is your student. Every time you make a choice, you are teaching the universe what you value, what you believe is possible, and what you are ready to receive. If you continue to teach the universe that you don’t deserve abundance, that you’re stuck, or that success is out of reach, then that is exactly what the universe will continue to mirror back to you. But if you teach the universe that you are worthy of love, growth, and opportunity, the universe will begin to show you just how much it has in store for you.
This isn’t about asking for things and waiting for them to appear. It’s about alignment. When your actions, beliefs, and thoughts align with your desires, you teach the universe that you are ready to receive. It’s like learning a new language—when you speak it fluently, you begin to understand it more clearly, and the conversation becomes more meaningful. In the same way, when you align your energy with what you want to create, you begin to communicate with the universe on a deeper level.
This process requires mindfulness. It’s not enough to simply wish for something to change. We must actively choose how we show up in the world. We must decide what we are willing to teach the universe about who we are and what we want to manifest. If we constantly teach the universe that we are incapable, unworthy, or unlovable, we create a feedback loop that keeps us trapped in those beliefs. As Maryam Hasnaa famously said, "The universe is going to give you the exact same lesson in different versions over and over again until you master it." But when we choose to teach the universe that we are open to growth, worthy of love, and capable of achieving our goals, the universe begins to show us evidence of that truth. If we want to see progress, we must teach the universe that we have learned the lesson and are ready for expansion.
Teaching the universe is not about perfection—it’s about intention. It’s about the way we choose to move through the world, even in the face of challenges. Every time we choose to act with integrity, to trust ourselves, or to pursue our passions, we send a message to the universe that we are ready for more. Every time we let go of fear or doubt, we teach the universe that we trust the process, and that trust invites more opportunities for growth.
The beauty of this relationship with the universe is that it’s reciprocal. The more we align our energy with what we want to create, the more the universe provides the experiences and opportunities that will help us learn, grow, and move closer to our goals. But it requires us to be active participants. We can’t expect the universe to deliver results if we’re not willing to show up and do the work. We must teach the universe through our actions that we are ready to receive—and then make the space for those lessons to come into our lives.
So, what are you teaching the universe today? What messages are you sending through your thoughts, actions, and beliefs? Are you teaching the universe that you are ready for change, for growth, for love, or are you teaching the universe that you are stuck, unworthy, or afraid? The choice is yours, and every moment is an opportunity to realign and teach the universe what you truly desire.
The universe is always listening. What you teach it today will shape what you receive tomorrow. And remember, you are an extension of the universe—you are both the teacher and the student. So, what is your lesson, and how will you master it enough to teach it?
